Brittle Brothers begins and ends with John F. Spalding. The recipe — a Tennessee peanut brittle his great-grandmother first wrote down in the 1860s — sat in the family for more than a century before John pulled it out in 1985 and started tweaking. He spent two decades on a single, stubborn principle: the most expensive ingredient should outweigh the cheapest. More nuts, less sugar.

In the fall of 2006, after long pleadings from family and friends to take it commercial, John launched Brittle Brothers from a kitchen just outside Nashville. The brand is still made by hand in Goodlettsville, Tennessee — and the same small-batch gourmet brittle has since landed in the Grammy, Academy, and CMA Awards swag bags, alongside front porches and gifting tables across the country.

Fullen Global came on as Brittle Brothers' operating partner for everything that happens between the kitchen and the customer. Today we run the company's web infrastructure, the Amazon storefront, brand and design, and the multichannel marketing campaigns that bring handmade Tennessee brittle to the people most likely to love it. The kitchen stays with John. The connective tissue is ours.
